A funny thing happened on the way to the Coliseum

The Islanders play at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum on Long Island. It's about a 40-mile drive from home. On the trip there and back today, B and I saw at least one license plate from each of the following states (though not in this order):

  1. New York

  2. New Jersey

  3. Pennsylvania

  4. Connecticut

  5. Delaware

  6. Virginia

  7. Maine

  8. North Carolina

  9. Georgia

  10. Florida

  11. Louisiana

  12. Texas

  13. Michigan

  14. Minnesota


Pretty cool, huh? There were at least two other strange plates on the road, but we couldn't read them.

Only in New York?

It took me about a year, but I managed to spot all 50 states, D.C., British Columbia, and a couple of Mexican States in Austin. If you decide that you've "gotta catch 'em all", I should warn you that South Dakota was very hard to find.
