Quick! Before I lose the connection!

We don't have internet in our apartment yet (we've been using very weak stolen wireless), which is one of the reasons I haven't been updating. Lots of people keep asking if I will keep updating, and I guess the answer is: as long as y'all are reading and expecting updates, I will try to keep updating.

Exciteen new developments:

I have a job or two. One as a waitress at Gyu-Kaku, a Japanese yakiniku grill-your-own-food restaurant. They're opening a new restaurant in Midtown East next month and are training a whole new staff at the old location in East Village. The food looks fabulous, and I'm really excited about the job. We'll see if I can pull it off! Once things are up and rolling, I expect every one of my friends and family in the New York area to check it out (and tip well :-P ).

My other job will start in a month or so. I'll be working for some people at the Columbia Medical Science Pavilion. I'm just building a webpage, but hopefully it will result in some good contacts and references and maybe a more exciteen medical/lab-type job in the future.

And yes! I moved into my apartment with Darren. A trip to Ikea, another to Bed, Bath & Beyond, several to local dollar stores and we're pretty much set up. Darren had a massive blister from putting together Ikea furniture the first day. I still need a desk and a vacuum, but I'm feeling pretty comfortable as is.
