Quick update

Okay guys. I know this is long overdue, but I can't really spend much time on it. I'm still alive and mostly well. Mostly I've been really overwhelmed lately. I started a new job in a Dr's office, which is alright. D and I are also currently in the process of finding new homes for the kittens. It's been a really bad situation the past few months - I work nights and some days and also have class; he works long days. I pretty much never go to the apartment, and D has been almost solely responsible for the kittens... which is unfair to all of them. I'll also be moving in with B in May, so I've been trying to work things out with the broker so that D and I can get our deposit back. Meanwhile I'm falling behind on schoolwork and just exhausted overall. But I can't complain too much. Sometimes it gets to me, but I'm lucky to have B in my life, and all my new friends at the restaurant. I'm able to bounce back.

Lisa's wedding last Saturday was really something. I'd never met her then-fiance-now-husband before, but he seems great. They seem complementary and very happy, so I'm very happy for them. And I'm so glad I got to make it to the wedding and be a part of it. Her brother will be having his wedding in the Mormon temple in Dallas, so their parents won't be able to go. They're pretty upset about that (as was made clear to me), which is understandable. It was also really nice to have a short holiday, even if it was just one day... and in Newport News, VA of all places. But B and I were playing at being grown-ups, with a hotel room with king size bed and pull-out couch and a rented car. It was fun, even if we didn't get to do anything exciting.

That covers it for now, I think. Good night.

Hectic

Things have been pretty crazy since I returned from San Francisco. The week back I had school, got the kittens spayed, started working at a Dr's office on the Upper East Side, and got sick. Monday, the 26th, I had my second midterm in chemistry. It didn't go so well, and when I walked out of the lecture hall I was feverish and dizzy. So Sunday (the 25th) through Tuesday (the 27th) I basically spent sleeping and trying to recover. Wednesday I went back to the Dr's office, where days have been hectic and fast-paced. Friday I went back to the restaurant.

I'm pretty overwhelmed right now. I have the restaurant, the new job at the Dr's office, class of course, moving plans, and attempts to get the kittens adopted (yeah, we're trying to give them away before we move) all weighing down on me. And on top of that I've been sick. Not fun. I'm very much looking forward to Passover this week and my first Passover Seder on Tuesday at Brett's parents' house.

Hopefully work won't be too bad tonight. The last couple times I've worked Sunday, it's been an absolute mess. Actually, Friday was an absolute mess, but I'm tired of complaining about that.
